If not now, then when?

I’ve just finished reading “Big Magic” and although some parts were a little too optimistic and cheery for me, I think I got some useful lessons out of it. A lot of the language also contradicts “The Four Agreements,” so just be mindful if you’re delving into self-help world right now!

  1. As far as creativity goes, do whatever you feel like doing and share it even if you don’t think it’s your best work because either way you’ll grow from the experience.

  2. if you don’t take advantage of inspiration while it’s hot, it will leave you. Then you’ll be stuck with a bunch of unfinished projects (guilty).

  3. if you find yourself stagnant and uninspired, pick up a new passion or hobby that’s totally different. I’ve realized that going to school reignited my drive when I felt like I hit a dead end with art/illustration

  4. . ”jack of all trades, master of none” is a fallacy. Follow your curiosity and jump excitedly out of your comfort zone. (Partial credit to “Range’ for this one).

  5. Literally nobody cares what you’re doing with your life as far as “creative living” goes. Personally I love seeing people take risks and find it inspiring. Don’t be afraid to do the same.

That may have been slightly redundant, but it’s fine.

On that note, I decided I wanted to document more of my life. I’m tired of looking at bloggers and thinking to myself “I want to do that,” but refusing to make time for it. I have things I want to share too! It doesn’t even have to be serious, it’s just for fun…like my old Xanga account from 2005 😂

Instead of overthinking and trying to create a brand and a strategy, I’m just going to wing it and be authentic.
